We live in a world where the vast majority of Politics, Media, Entertainment and Education speak with one voice, and if you choose to speak against that narrative you are brutally silenced. This is called Political Correctness.
I this found out intimately when local Progressive blogger John Earl published a hit piece on me a few days ago. The good news is that he got my name right, but not much else. Using his ideological goggles that allow him to only see what he wants to see Mr Earl misconstrued the entire basis and context for my talk. And, what he didn’t project he invented out of whole-cloth. Mr. Earl’s chosen tactic is taking a statement, using a small part out of context and he then filters it through his particular ideology to arrive at his interpretation of my inner meaning. Psychologists call this “Projection”. Society used to call this “Yellow Journalism”…..currently it goes by “Fake News”.
Years ago I discovered the origins of Political Correctness and I swore I would never be silent again. The video Mr. Earl references is a recent talk I gave to a group of Conservatives; the most maligned, misunderstood and slandered group in our country now and the only group that can be attacked openly with no repercussions. During my talk I shared the history of the Frankfurt School, a group of German Marxists that fled the tyranny of Hitler and ran into the open arms of American academe’ in the 1930’s. There they infested our college system with their creations: Cultural Marxism, a fatal combination of Marx and Freud and Critical Theory, basically their belief that “repression of ideas from the Right are not only allowable but required”…these two abominations combined into what we now call Political Correctness.
It’s not hyperbole to say that, in the video, I gave the background and cure to the worst mental cancer in history and now that same cancer, Political Correctness, is being used in an attempt to silence and remove me from public life. Pretty Ironic. After discovering the history and intent of Political Correctness I made it my business to always speak the truth as I see it; for some this is a crime that must be punished. Political Correctness is blackmail of the worst kind, it holds your actual Freedom of Speech hostage to the censor’s demands. In the freest country in the History of Man I believe that unacceptable, you can either have Free Speech or Political Correctness, you can’t have both.
In my talk I used harsh language and metaphorical imagery intended to drive the allegorical points home and motivate the listeners to never allow censorship to degrade their lives. Through Mr. Earl’s extremist lens this became “Anti-Semitics, Alt-Right, Fascism and Jewish-Marxist Conspiracy Theories”….all false and on an paradoxical note, Mr. Earl, his article and his complete ignorance of my talk’s subject have unwittingly become the living embodiments and proof of my thesis on Political Correctness.
For example, in Mr. Earl’s piece he includes this image from my Facebook page, a Youtube video of All-Right leader Richard Spencer talking. My caption was “Thank you Frankfurt School”, Earl takes that to mean I support Spencer, which is completely false. In truth I was saying that the Frankfurt School is partially responsible for the racial division gripping the country that, by extension, helped create Spencer’s White Supremacist movement. As with the rest of Earl’s piece, it’s pure fiction.
Also, some other images in Earl’s piece show the Jewish Star in the background, these may have come from other Youtube videos depicting the Frankfurt School, who were Jews; somehow these images added by others show conclusive proof of my “anti-semitic beliefs” ??. This is Intellectual Laziness on the part of John Earl.
I understand Mr. Earl and his intentions perfectly, he intends to silence me. This will never happen. Ask yourselves why is it acceptable for John Earl to write this piece never having called the subject (me) for an interview or a quote ? to people who believe in real and honest journalism it isn’t. And, Councilman Peterson has been receiving numerous calls from reporters and people who are concerned about Mr. Earl’s article. Ask yourselves why not ONE person has reached out to me, the accused, to ask my opinion ?? that’s because this is a smear campaign and nothing else.

Mr. Earl has made the accusation that I “liked” Social Media stories about abhorrent groups and ideologies he, and in many cases I disagree with, and therefore to his reasoning, I must agree with those groups and their beliefs. This is faulty logic. As there are no “Unlike” or “I Really Disagree” buttons on Facebook or Twitter there is literally no way to share information with others without, in the eyes of blindly ideological people like Mr. Earl, completely agreeing with the content. We see this exact strategy just today with the failed Hillary Clinton campaign blaming Trump’s win on a campaign that “appealed to White Supremacists”. This is how children and bullies reason and is also called Guilt by Association; intelligent people recognize this tactic and and see it hurts the accuser far more than anyone else.
I read and share a tremendous amount of information with my friends and followers for these following reasons: I want to learn about many contentious subjects so that I can become the most learned person possible, and then my goal is to pass that learning on to others so that they too may become more aware. This used to be admired in society and If fault can be found with those goals then our culture is indeed in trouble.
But, the real intent behind Earl’s article is the concerted efforts of a small and vocal group of hardcore Progressive activists in Huntington Beach who have attempted to silence me since I was appointed by writing unsourced hit pieces, publishing them on Facebook and then blocking me from responding. These are not the actions of honest people. One can’t help to also speculate that these same Progressives have gone a bit crazy after the election and are looking for a way to vent that poison. You’re Welcome. Additionally, their true long-term intent is to remove Councilman Peterson from office; no matter what good he has done for the city, to them, he is a Conservative that must be destroyed at any opportunity. In the 2 years since he’s been in office Councilman Peterson has established himself as the most effective public servant many people have seen here in their lifetimes, that he takes time selflessly from his family and business to help make HB a city that exists for its Citizens is admirable. To lose him would be a terrible loss for HB.
As for me i’m proud of my accomplishments working in and out of our city government, whether challenging SCAG on their incorrect affordable housing mandates, working to help elect good candidates or just providing appropriate examination of new developments it’s been an incredible time of learning and i’m fortunate to be able to give something back to my lifelong home.
As I have been blocked by the same people who are perpetrating this fraud on me I cannot respond on some Facebook forums where I am being libeled. Wherever Mr. Earl’s article appears I appreciate you sharing this response on those forums and with anyone who might have questions.
Please always speak your minds, don’t let petty tyrants like John Earl blackmail and steal your Freedom of Speech because, they want more than just your silence.
